About Doucet Creatives

I'm a single mom to a special needs child, a self-published author, and someone who has always been drawn towards art and unique expression. I've always been full of ideas and ambition, so things can get quite...loud. For someone like myself, who spends a great deal of time prancing around in imagination, I've always felt a pull towards working with my hands. And doing just that—getting lost with a paintbrush, a keyboard, and this new journey of polymer clay, its the quickest way to turn my busy future-focused mind into a content hum within the present moment.

My novel cover designs is what inspired the designs of my earrings. The designs are subtle amongst a world of chaos. Marble is timeless, it's beautiful. It carries depth, but also a serene look that can mold with any individual. It's simple, yet more than enough. Many forms accompany each colour scheme, and that reflects my urge to give options—but not in a way that overwhelms.

My earrings as time goes on will not only carry the relaxing pops of colour, but I would also like them to carry a comfort, a predictability, a trust. A trust that is tied to the timeless essence of the marble texture, and a trust that is tied to the personality the colours give to reflect that of the individual who wears them.

Doucet Creatives wasn't created to just sell polymer clay earrings and paintings—it was created for a Doucet to be creative. It was created for a Doucet to come out of her shell and into the world. It was created for a Doucet to share, and to force her way out of shame and perfectionism, and away from the sabotaging thought that the things she felt drawn to create may be too "imperfect" to sell.

Doucet Creatives was formed for passion, for growing, for fulfilment. The potential of products available through Doucet Creatives and the potential of the special people that care enough to support and follow alongside this new journey of my creative growth and endeavours is limitless. Art, us, we are limitless. We are timeless. We are creatives.
